Viewed along with other historic sites in Lake Crystal during the
BEC Historical Society's Pub Crawl last Friday evening, the
Robinson House, as it is now called, was built in 1870, shortly
after the Dakota Conflict. Having survived the terrors of that
ordeal, Mr. Robinson built it with a eye out for security,
installing a hidden room dug into a wall in the basement in case
of further attacks. This house is much older than the trees that
surround it, and it is for sale.
