Citizens Academy - Blue Earth County
The class of the third annual Blue Earth County Citizens Academy was recognized Tuesday for their interest in county government. They visited various sites to learn about Blue Earth County services over 6 Tuesday evenings.

Rose Breasted Grosbeak - Wayne Comstock
ROSE BREASTED GROSBEAK
As in previous years, several pair of Grosbeaks have stopped by our feeders for a few days. They feed profusely on cardinal mix and thistle seed for a few days and then leave for unknown places.
The grosbeak's song is much like that of a robin but more melodic.
The Rose-breasted Grosbeaks are Neotropical migrants that nest in the USA but withdraw to Mexico and Central America in the winter months. (Snow Birds?)

On my birthday I served pie to all gop reps and staff. May 3rd
My Committee Legislative Assistant made all these ties. She actually sold them to all these people to wear, 50 of them, to surprise me. I had no idea she was going to do it. They wore them all day in all parts of the Capitol.
