Reflections of a Wedding Reception, long ago:

Katherine Hubbard and her new husband, Henry Ervin, caught in a
fleeting moment in the hallway mirror.

A little tree toad usually climbs my kitchen window,
snatching bugs and moths attracted by the light. Tonight he
managed to jump out onto the hummingbird feeder. Do you suppose
he's waiting to ambush a hummingbird in the morning?

A Man of Iron - Jack Madsen

Win Grundmeier was really feeling his oats today. After we finished
taking pictures down below Minneopa Falls, he ran all the way
back up the stone stairway, pounded on his chest, and bragged,
"I'll bet I can push that red oak right on over!" And, by golly,
he did! Here you see the photographic proof!

Meeting Lisa Kelly from Ice Road Truckers - Holly Mehltretter

I am sending these pictures because these two little boys have been playing ice road truckers for quite awhile. I haven't any good pictures of them on their semi though it was amazing how happy Hollis was to meet Lisa Kelly. Names are Hollis Knish (age 4) of Elysian and Tristan Mehltretter (age 4) of Mankato.

Somewhere, Over the Rainbow

The old Rainbow Bridge, formerly over the Little Cottonwood River
near Cambria in Cambria Township. Vestige of a simpler, quieter
time, still on duty, still beautiful!
This Rainbow Bridge may be the only one of its kind still
standing. The old riverbed was completely buried when the new road
was built. No water flows under this bridge any more. Young lovers
still scratch their names into the lichen -- for posterity.
