Senator Sheran and Representative Morrow were recently visited by the 5th Grade Class from Nicollet Elementary. Senator Sheran asked students to have discussions of a political nature that evening over dinner with their families. Senator Sheran stated: "I suggested they discuss the role of government in supporting the Viking's stadium and asked if they would write to me about what they learned and what the discussion revealed."Senator Sheran is trying to encourage student's interest in discussing critical issues confronting their communities, and to start to think about the role government plays in their lives.

While some anglers drew a blank on walleyes for the opener, Toni and Jacob Raimann caught a 28-incher from a local lake over the weekend opener. The fish managed to break a brand-new fishing pole in half in the process.
